Not all that I’ve painted, sketched, and drawn there I have in photos with me now. But there are some – let’s take it from here.
We first met in late December 2016 but I didn’t make much art then. It was chilly, grayish, raining all the time, from light drizzle to a real rain and my hostel hosts were kind enough to lend me an umbrella. And of course, you could sit near a full wall front window in a cafe-hall on the ground floor with your computer and watch the street… Something like this:
And then it was a spring. Some spring courtyards.

And the sea.
And then summer came and I went to see the other Turkey – since all my local acquaintances were saying that Istanbul is not really Turkey (though, with my outsider view, I must say, I think, actually it is…).
And yet another winter – end of 2018 now 🙂
At the end of that winter I stayed again in Istanbul and lived with a great host, a writer, and her gorgeous fluffy red cat. And this summer too I came again – but about this later, or there would be too many pictures for this one post 🙂 Stay tuned and subscribe down this page!
And to wrap up the story – some cats of the times when I was learning Turkish (when I will actually finally learn it?…. :-/ )
