Dalat is a mountain town in Central Vietnam (or one could say even “city” – it’s rather big). It’s quite a touristic place, in its central part, but quiet and homely in the outskirts. Once you get there (and you will need some locals’ help if you don’t speak a good command of Vietnamese!), you are surrounded by bursting green, countryside-looking homes, winding narrow paths, road-side cafes, and everyday life of people around.
My pieces presented here were made in that quiet periphery part.
A neighbors’ garden across the street and view down to the valley (the opposite side) in a cloudy day. There, at my corner of residential area where I stayed, to the three of four sides from the street opened a view down to the green valley (with people’s gardens and trees) and then other surrounding hills.
All these three paintings you can find in my online gallery here – along with my other works from Vietnam.
And these next two are no longer with me – they both went away as gifts.
And to conclude this story, some photos from the real Dalat. Enjoy and feel being really there!
